Methodology

How signals become scores.

The factors Oryx evaluates, and how they combine. Every score retains its full factor breakdown — a number is never persisted without its evidence.

Narrative Detection

Narratives are clusters of semantically related social content. Oryx tracks each cluster's volume, velocity and source diversity against its own rolling baseline rather than a global average, so a small but sharply accelerating narrative is not drowned out by large stable ones.

Social Velocity

Velocity is the rate of change of mentions and engagement over a rolling window, expressed relative to the cluster baseline. Sustained velocity across consecutive windows is required — a single spike is treated as noise.

Cross-Platform Confirmation

A narrative confirmed on multiple independent platforms is materially more likely to propagate. Oryx requires configurable N-of-M confirmation, with each platform's contribution weighted by its historical predictive value.

Semantic Correlation

Token metadata, symbol, description and deploy timing are compared against active narrative clusters. Correlation is a similarity score, not a keyword match — derivative and adjacent phrasings are captured.

Market Conditions

Broad Solana market activity, new-pair frequency and category rotation modulate scoring. Identical signals are treated differently in risk-on and risk-off regimes.

Liquidity

Pool depth is evaluated both as an absolute floor and relative to expected participation. Signals below the floor are held in monitoring rather than discarded, since liquidity frequently arrives after attention.

Token Age

Deploy timing relative to narrative onset is a strong differentiator. Tokens deployed shortly after a narrative begins forming score higher than late derivatives entering a crowded field.

Momentum

Price and volume behavior after correlation is tracked as its own factor. Momentum confirms — or contradicts — the social signal, and drives hold and exit conditions once a position is monitored.

Signal Confidence

Confidence expresses how well the current evidence matches historically productive signal shapes. It is reported alongside every score and every decision, and is never hidden behind a single number without its factor breakdown.

Risk Conditions

Hard conditions — liquidity floors, holder concentration limits, authority checks, age boundaries — gate every decision regardless of score. A high score never overrides a failed risk condition.
